Reverse PA is transitional, later used to strike all 1873 proofs.

Obverse P1
The photo below shows the Obverse P1 attribution grid. Also noted by the arrow is a light die line
that crosses near the top of shield recess #6. This can serve as an additional marker for this obverse.

Reverse PA
Reverse PA is a strongly doubled die, shown in the following photo. We’ve made this strongly doubled die
one of our Top-30 varieties. Note that this reverse die is shared by
1873 OC-P1, so either die marriage can fill this slot in a Top-30 variety set.

Reverse PA also displays strong die lines under the eagle around the talons and lower branch. These are
indicated by the arrows in the following photo.
