Comments:
   This is the second of three uses of Obverse 3 (one of the uses is a re-marriage)
and the second and final use of Reverse C.


Obverse 3

The photo below shows the Obverse 3 attribution grid. Obverse 3 exhibits no notable die markers. The date position should be sufficient to confirm the attribution. However, be careful. The date position is similar to that of Obverse 2.

Obverse 3 Die States
  1. Perfect die.
  2. Clashed dies. One shield bar shows clearly left of the pole base.
  3. Additional heavy clashing, rotated from the first clash. The first shield bar is surrounded by two additional bars. Another shows in the drapery.
No later die states have been observed. OC-4 is found with obverse die states b and c.


Reverse C

Reverse C displays one notable marker, a large die chip off the bottom of the shaft of the middle arrow, joining the shaft to the upper tip of the lower arrow head.

Reverse C Die States
  1. Perfect die.
  2. Faint die cracks surround the reverse at the top of the letters.
  3. Clash marks in the shield recesses.
OC-4 is found with all three die states.
