Comments: Obverse P1 was used to strike all 1852 die marriages. This is its third use to strike 1852 proof restrikes, and fifth or sixth use overall. This is the first and only use of Reverse 1865 PA to strike 1852 proof restrikes. It was previously used to strike regular issue 1865 proofs. It was also used to strike 1851 proof restrikes. This die marriage has not been confirmed, but we strongly believe that a few examples probably exist. |

Reverse 1865 PA exhibits very minor die doubling, visible as a widening of the top of the letters UNI. This is shown in the following photo.  Reverse 1865 PA die doubling
